Hi,

After upgrading from 2.2.5.6_200711060904.exe to 2.2.5.6_200802272032, S+ will not start, it causes AV.

Deleting all existing .SD (and partial) files allows it to start. Including files one at a time causes it to crash on certain files.

Obviously the .SD upgrade is not being performed on these files.

The date/time of the sd files does not change so they are not being written.

I'll try installing each version of S+ in between to see if either the files are upgraded, or at what release the crash starts.

    Update:

I tried installing and running each intermediate version in turn, this prevents the crash.

BUG: The each new S+ version should apply all changes to the .SD file format since the version the .SD file was created, and not assume that the .SD was created by the immediate prior release.

Fixed bug.... it is not problem with SD file format at all. the problem was loading some download sources stored on each SD files.
e.g. there was some bug related to ED2K and BT, which caused crash on start up. SD file format has not been changed for all 2.2.5.6 at all.

changes to SD file happen only then there are any modification to data, including saved source changed, named changed, any fragments downloaded/removed and so on. otherwise performance will be reduced by too frequent HDD access at loading time. SD file has version number inside so not needed to update SD file at once on loading on newer version.
