Hello, This appears to be a bug that has crept in with the introduction of code to better manage multiple roles. I have issued bug report #430 on the bug tracker here: http://bugtracker.sfiab.ca/view_all_bug_page.php A similar bug was identified in bug report 426. This was assigned to Dave Grant to fix on 7 January 2010. A work-round, which I will use in London if the need arises is to create a new email address for the judge like this: pet...@ls..., and then forward email sent to this address to his real address. Im anticipating that 2.1.4 will be the last major feature release for this year's fair season, but im sure there'll be a couple minor bugfix updates over the next few months. Patrick, These instructions look pretty good but... One of our biggest problems in Rural Ontario is some people simply do not have email address or even internet access, yes that is a reality here. We also have internet access problems in many of our schools as well, hotmail is blocked as well as other free mail providers. Because we are not governed by either of the school boards here, we do not get much support/sympathy from there IT departments. So we have to use the open and invite method of registering. But by doing this we have caused some confusion when the teacher is asked to put in an email address. I have submitted the following issue IDs in the bug tracker that identify our problems/fixes with the part of the system: 0000131 0000132 0000133 Comments on these issues are welcome. You need the info from YSF.. but actaully thats on my list of things to 'finish' ... the SFIAB side is done, but the YSF side is not.. im going to finish that on monday, so i can use it for the ORSF registration as well. Hmm... yes because it validates a proper email address, i dont think it has anything to do with the apostrophe, but rather the entire email regular expression: ie) '[a-zA-Z0-9._-]+@[a-zA-Z0-9._-]+\.([a-zA-Z]{2,4})' it must be the form a@b.cc eg) britany@school.one I thought it also does the check when they do the inviting... maybe i missed that part... for this year I can edit your code adn remvoe the regular expression check on the email address, and we can address it properly for next year? James, Agreed the A4 US letter issue is mine, just wanted to point out what I found, once I change my default to US letter all is good with the lapels. Having a option to pick how many will be useful but I understand it will not happen for this year. I think Justin is just about finished his project so maybe I will put him to work. On this and the boarders that are in the name tags. And yes not sure what happened there but the Presenters name now appears in the awards script, thanks. Hello, It is always difficult to get labels exactly as wanted. Thus I would prefer that SFIAB creates a csv file of the relevant data that can then be used as the source file for a merge in to Word that is then used to print the labels. This gives much better control over what is on the label. It is sometimes useful to produce complex labels that indicate such things as the Division, Category, and a Lunch symbol, as well as the name for example. It is my experience that labels always need some fiddling with the font size and placing of the text to get them right. When you receive the signature forms / money in the mail, all you need to do to 'flag' them as complete in the system is go to: Committee Login-> Fair Administration -> Participant Registration -> Input Received Forms Then you put in their registration number (from the signature form that you received) and click "Lookup Registration Number" it will then allow you to confirm that you've called up the correct form (didnt make a typo on the registration number). There's 3 buttons on the next page 1) no wrong form -- does nothing 2) right form with payment -- sets their status to 'complete' 3) right form without payment -- sets theri status to 'paymentpending' Hope that answers your question? Hi everyone! version 2.0.8 has been released and anyone thats hosted with lightbox has now been updated to the newest version. Here's the changelog: 2.0.6 to 2.0.8 Fix issue with importing default judging questions Add option to delete the uploaded logo Allow committee privateemail to be empty Add location & contact info for tours Revamp configuraton page so it understands what choices are available for each option and gives dropdown lists where available Add two new configuration options: - 'participant_student_tshirt_cost' allows the cost of each fair tshirt to be set (vancouver charges $10 for tshirts, because not all students want them), this also adds a 'none' option to the tshirt selection box, and a note indicating the tshirt cost if the costs is nonzero. - 'regfee_show_info' adds a "Registration Fee Information" to the main student registration page, showing a breakdown of the registration fee computation (including tshirts, per_student and per_project registration, and indicates the total. James How are you doing? I am the system admin for Avon Maitland District School Board. I have been working on this SFIAB site for Mike Ash. Everything has been working great except the PDF generation on this box. I couldn't find any documentation at your www.sfiab.ca website on the pdflib install. I downloaded the following file "http://www.pdflib.com/binaries/PDFlib/700/PDFlib-Lite-7.0.0p3.tar.gz" and used the instructions from www.pdflib.com. I compiled the from source, and installed into the default location. We ran some tests and Apache/PHP still cannot see the PDFLib module. SFIAB Configuration -> Configuration Variables -> Participant Registration -> Participant Registraiton Type - "invite" this will require then the school teacher to login via the school login page, and invite the students by entering a 'dummy' email address (call it a username if you want), then it will show them the registration number that goes with that dummy address (username) that they can give to the student to login with and complete the registration process.
