We would like to use 7z to open '.lzh' compressed files; however, to do so, we require answers to the five questions listed below before we are allowed to install the application. Please could you answer these?

    1. The Vendor guarantees that the Software operates as described in the provided documentation.
    2. The Vendor confirms that all changes - including Windows Registry changes - made to the user's system during installation and operation have been documented, and agrees to provide this complete documentation to S&C with the Software.
    3. The Vendor guarantees that no spyware or adware is installed - either intentionally or unintentionally - on the user's system during the installation and operation of the Software.
    4. The Vendor guarantees that the Software does not include a "call-home" feature, which would allow the Software to initiate a connection to the Vendor's, their representatives' or other third party systems, without the user's knowledge.
    5. The Vendor guarantees that the Software is free of - intentional or unintentional - defects and vulnerabilities to intrusion and attack, which would allow the Vendor and their representatives, other third parties or individuals to bypass security restrictions, cause exposure of sensitive information, cause a Denial of Service, or compromise the user's system.

Lol… Why would anyone take legal risks by answering this?  And no one is a "vendor" here, or are you making a good-size payment to Igor?  "Guarantees" is a very string word in legal speak…  Anyone associated with 7zip would be dumb to answer the questions.

    You pose no questions.

Note that 7-zip can extract most of lzh archive, but not all. There are some unsupported lzh methods still.

You'll need to go with a commercial vendor to get guarantees like you're seeking.
Some of the vendors I've purchased systems from in the past have had good luck with "PowerArchiver" in the past.

Out of curiosity, are you trying to get HIPAA compliance or Sarbanes-Oxley  compliance?
