I have a lzma file which I am unable to extract... :(
I was created with a simple password.
The first file got partly extracted ...
7-zip reports something regading incorrect password.. :(
Which is not true... :(
The file is corrupted .. how can I try to verify why ?
Any ideas how to recover it ?
As another matter I have several zip archives which 7-zip is unable to open , from several programs .. :(
All of them got the files listed but if I try to extract 7-zip reports "unsuportedd format"...
I do know that some them were created with "no compression" mode in zip...
Does 7 zip not able to decompress with "no compression" ??

i guess your computer hardware works unstable and writes corrupted files to harddisk.
just try and copy a 7-zip archive which is ok from partition 1 to partition 2 and back again.
If there are now errors,
check your RAM with memtest86 and check your IDE-cable if it's a 80-wire one, or better SATA.
Also check for BIOS and driver updates.
Files can also get damaged when transferred over network.
I'm sure, there is no way to recover from an corrupted 7-zip archive!
