#78 Frontend lacks tree view

This feature request has been in for seven years now. I see no less than a dozen forum posts on it over the years. I can understand if the developers don't use a tree view themselves, but for those of us that find it essential, I would ask that you consider adding it.

What part do you say is not true ??

If settings are "View"->"Flat View", it will show all files and folders within all levels of the current path, all together at once. This can look as though all the folders and files are all within the same folder.

Perhaps the original poster un-knowingly had this setting turned on.

The issue discussed is different from actual "Tree View".

I believe a Tree view, for example: like the left pane of "Windows Explorer", would be nice addition to 7-Zip. This would make it easier to navigate to different parts of the archive-file-tree and filesystem-folders-tree without having to visit each/every folder in between.

Flat view doesn't give you context of where you are in the tree structure and the non-flat view requires to traverse every directory.

An optional extra panel on the left like Windows Explorer would be useful.
