in all versions : bad french translation of "free software"
A free file archiver for extremely high compression
Brought to you by:
ipavlov
Seen in version 3.13 and 4.0.9 beta:
Set the GUI in french,
open the "help-> About 7-zip..." menu.
(in french : Aide->ŕ propos de 7-zip")
The english text is "7-zip is free software"
The correct translation is not "7-zip est un logiciel gratuit"
but : "7-zip est un logiciel libre"

You've better off take this issue to Richard Stallman as
well. Even though he insists on the 'free' means freedom,
his choice of using 'free software' instead of unambiguous
terms such as 'freedomware' or 'libertyware' is questionable
at best.

OK, this is ambiguous in english, but not in french. People
in france just begin to understand the difference, so
everything must always be clear. 7-zip is not only free of
charge.
