I've been using seq24 for about 6 months now, and it's great. The only thing that's really annoying me about it, is that it doesn't honor the tempo saved with the file. No matter what tempo is saved, seq24 keeps the default of 120bpm. I know the correct tempo is saved in the MIDI file, because I can inspect the file, and it's right there. Someone told me a while back that this has to do with a 64-bit number issue, or a a part of the seq24 code that reads the SMF, that only reads the high-order 32 bits and sees the tempo in the file as 0 instead of what it really is, and thus keeps the default instead of using the saved tempo. Has anyone fixed this? I've had an action item for months to go poking around in the code and try to fix it, but I'd be surprised if someone hasn't already done that. Thanks! -ken |
