I'll bet it's in lurking somewhere in the bit-shifting of the tempo byte of the Format 1 MIDI file. > > Is seq24 maintained anymore or abandoned? I was going to hack my own "scene mode" together in PD, by having it send MIDI events to seq24 to trigger groups of loops. But it'd be nicer if it was in seq24. > > > 4) I'd be really neat if seq24 was OSC-ified. It's such a nice GUI for loop entering/editing; it'd be great if I could just use it as a front-end to other programs written in PD/ChucK/SuperCollider/etc. > > We discussed OSC sequencers on LAU recently, but not many are available now. Or even if its parameters were OSC-controlled. Or, perhaps even more promising, dbus-enabled. Also, seq24 doesn't actually support the ALSA sequencer interface; it seems like it uses raw MIDI. Its connections don't show up in aconnect. Finally, if there's a wishlist somewhere: I'd be nice if it could support JACK MIDI, for sample-accurate MIDI framing and integration into JACK. Also, if it supports JACK MIDI, it would automatically obtain cross-platform connectivity: since JACK now runs on Linux, OSX, and now Windoze too. - -ken -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFG+VFne8HF+6xeOIcRAun+AKCHL2EeFA2sTI1hleO1QPf7v+ni2wCeJOwQ 188nmdqr6/64i5calUpOEkY= =ozlX -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
