There was a branch with some improvements over the last official version
posted here:

That domain doesn't seem to be there atm/anymore, but I can mail you a
copy of the source tarball if you wanted to include some of the
improvements in further development (I've been using that version for so
long that I can't remember all of the things that weren't in the
original - mostly quantize-as-you-record and a bunch of interface
enhancements, I think). It would be great to see some further
development on this useful software, especially since I've got a friend
using the windoze version and swapping files with me now... :)
