No solutions here, but a strong plea that patterns of different meters be made to occupy the same amount of time - ie a 3/4 pattern, a 4/4 pattern and a 5/4 pattern all starting and ending in the same spot. I suspect this would require some rather fundamental changes to the code, but I would absolutely love it if I could use seq24 to easily construct polyrhythms. On second thought, I might be asking for the exact opposite of what Thomas wants, and his request sounds both easier to code and more consistent with performance of the program thus far.
