Hello seq24 users ;), I'm ran into a big problem while using seq24 i was wondering if anyone ha= d ever tried this. The thing is i want to make a break in the music, let's say a 3/4 pattern right in the middle of my song in 4/4. But when i simply play the pattern= s it plays the 3/4 then waits the last 1/4 before switching to the next. For information i've got a 0.8.3 version and i'm controlling everything b= y midi, and i send before every "patterns on/off" signals a "mod queue" signal to apply the pattern changes at the end of each pattern. But the problem is the same by just clicking on seq24. So i tried many combinations of "sequence length in bar" and "time signature" but no way to make seq24 play the song the way i want. Maybe few of you are trying to make weird breaks (no post about that on the list archive), but i cannot imagine not doing that. There has to be a way around the problem because the song editor is doing things all right. I'm a little scared because i spent weeks trying to make a Pure Data patc= h to control Seq24 by foot on stage and now it seems that some song structures cannot be played. I could maybe translate my patch to another live midi player (if i knew one) but seq 24 was just the one i needed. Please tell me there's a hidden checkbox called "Start next pattern right after this one is finished" ;) Thanks Thomas |
