hello everybody, i am new in this list, so let me introduce myself. i use linux for making music since about 3 and a half years now (first planet ccrma, now agnula). most of the time i use muse, rezound and ardour together with external musical instruments and equipment (sampler, synth, ...). about 2 weeks ago i startet to work with seq24 - what a great program! on sunday i had a electronic-live-session with a friend and used seq24. it was the sequencer for my waldorf q, the master midi-clock for my korg electribe sx (and the midi-clock for my friends minikorg and his jomox xbase) and i did some midi-mixer-automation (yamaha O1v) with it. as midikeyboard i used my yamaha motif ... everything worked without any problems and with a perfect timing! !!! THANKS A LOT FOR THAT GREAT PROGRAMM !!! about 3 years ago, i started, together with a friend, a project for musicians concerned to audio and linux. it is called audio4linux.de and is only in german language (we try to reach musicians, who think, that linux and making music is something for linux-freaks. we think it is easier for them to start in their native language ;-) )... i wrote a seq24 howto for that and here it is: http://www.audio4linux.de/wiki/index.php/Seq24 perhaps someone is interested in that... thanks again - i won't use another sequencer for live-music anymore - keep on that great work! greetings to all of you l.chaos -- _________________________________________________________________ http://www.audio4linux.de - musikmachen mit offenen quellen |
