Splash screens do often serve purposes, usually to inform the user that a) the application IS loading, and b) the progress of loading. A good example of this is the GIMP. I'd rather see Rob focus on adding features to Seq24, rather than waste time to remove the logo, which other people like, and clearly he does otherwise he wouldn't have put it there. If you don't like the logo, then you can just delete it yourself and recompile. IF Rob takes your request to heart, I hope he leave the logo there as default, but gives you a commandline switch like --nologo or something. This would make you happy as well as everyone else who likes that logo where it is. Dana |
