Hi there, I've been getting large numbers of underruns with seq24. I'm not doing=20 anything too sophisticated, but I start to see underruns right away. The=20 biggest problem is that it crashes my Yamaha RS7000 horribly and nearly=20 gives me a heart attack every time. Is there any diagnostic procedure I can do to try and find the cause? I'm= =20 using kernel-2.6.12-2 (from DeMuDi), alsa 1.0.8-7, jackd-0.88.51-1 and=20 libgtkmm-2.2.12-1.1 (Debian versions). Everything running as root, very few= =20 processes running my workstation.=20 I'm running Seq24 with jackd --realtime (48000 SR), zynaddsubfx -r 48000=20 (with three synths), qjackctl, and alsamixer. Hardware wise I have a Pentium 4 1.6GHz, 256KB cache, 768MB RAM (200MB=20 free), and an M-Audio Audiophile 24/96. I've recompiled the source on my system but see no difference between that= =20 and the Debian package I was using. I'm really enjoying seq24! Just hate it when I lose two hours work due to a= =20 crash. Fortunately I'm just learning and the stuff I'm doing now are not=20 full songs. I'd love to know (as an aside :o) ) how to use seq24 for automating other= =20 midi controls like pitch, cutoff, etc. Is there some bezier magic I'm=20 missing? Hope I can get everything working properly soon. I want to get good enough= =20 to buy (and wear) the tee-shirt!! ;o) Regards, Paul |
