Hi Ale, ok, let's get SEPY work again on OS X. With the latest revision I get the following error on startup (even the ide doesn't open): exceptions.AttributeError, 'module' object has no attribute 'Choicebook'. happened in SEPY.py do you label versions the surely work on os x (like the one i still have: 1.0.4.6) ? so everyone who is also interested to work with it on OS X knows which labeled version to get. regards valley |

I am really excited for the release of an up to date Mac version. I am envious of my PC colleague's Sepy! I'd be willing to compile, but I'm not sure where there are instructions for a working version. I'm on Panther 10.3.7. Someone said 1.0.4.6 works but I'm not sure if that depends on the version of python etc. a .dmg would be ideal, but if someone can point me to working compile instructions I'd try that first. Cheers, Andrew |

Hi, I've just checked out the latest cvs revision of SEPY on OS X and as I guessed it didn't work. Ale, can you tell me what's the latest revision or date where you're sure that SEPY runs on the mac ? The last version I have (and know that it works) is 1.0.4.6 Thanks and regards valley |

Hi, I've recently updated the cvs version in order to allow sepy mac version to perform testmovie and testscene operations (only with flash mx 2004), using a jsfl file. I can't install flash mx 2004 over my pearpc mac emulation disk, is there someone can test this feature? thanks Alessandro Crugnola - sephiroth --------------------------------------------- Macromedia Flash Team Volunteer http://www.macromedia.com/go/team Flash && PHP developer ale...@se... *relax with SEPY http://www.sf.net/projects/sepy --------------------------------------------- |

I came close to doing the same thing. I think that having a mac installer is a huge step in the right direction. Thanks for all the hard work everyone=B9s put into bringing sepy to the mac. I=B9d like to share an experience so that others don=B9t make the same mistake, and to ask if there=B9s any way to undo it. I didn=B9t realize that =B3SEPY.mpkg=B2 was the master installer file. Instead, I installed the separate packages one by one. When I got the .mpkg, all the packages indicate =B3Update=B2 rather than install (in the Customize section). When I run the installer, the Python package fails and stops the installer from completing. Now I have a SEPY folder and application in my Applications directory, but when I launch it nothing happens. Any ideas about this? -corey DOMANI STUDIOS Corey Szopinski Technology Director =20 co...@do... 55 Washington St. Suite 822 Brooklyn, NY 11201 212.920.8135 x116=20 |

Thank you very much. We saw that error at the start of application, never see a similar error = before. I will investigate. When openning a Flash FLP project, if there are subfolders of subfolders, these will not show disclosure triangles to access the classes inside!!! Alessandro--- This is quite amazing. A lot of work. I really appreciate your efforts to port if to the Mac platform. That is way more than most developers for the flash community every even consider doing. Just seeing SE|PY start is quite a site. I have a lot of respect for Python, and its good to finally see something sizable done with it for both major platforms. The mac version needs work, but I am sure with the help of this community, soon things will be smoother. On start of the application, I get a dialog with an error, I have attached an screengrab of the issue. Subsequent starts produce the same error, but with a different number. Best, Isaac |

it is because the installer include full python and wxpython packages.. sorry for that. in the future we will divide the installer files. one dmg with only the IDE necessary files (just sepy) and a dmg with all the necessary packages in order to run the application. So you can download once the second package :) Michael Tuminello said: > 117 MB to install? Yes, there are still various IDE problems that are not so simple to find = the reason for me.. Anyway i think i find also a solution for the unicode issues.. I hope. I'm thinking at the best way to integrate the changes between the 2 = version, mac and windows, because of the fact one use wxpython unicode and the other not. Btw, i think we're on the right way.
