The backup warning needs to be changed according to the document "Sepiola_Version_2_Pflichtenheft_de_v01.04.odt" from the 23rd of March 2009 on page 9:
Datei(en) konnte(n) nicht gelesen werden. Hier muss jede Datei aufgeführt werden, welche nicht gelesen werden konnte.
Ich kann mit der neusten Version keine Warnung erzeugen. Jede nicht lesbare Datei führt zu einem fehlerhaften (failed) Backup. Wie reproduziert ihr jeweils die Warnungen?
Clarification: If a file can not be read (because of insufficient permissions), a warning should be issued with the file(s) that couln't be read and the icon should be orange with an exclamation mark. Currently, Sepiola says Failed. Please see attached screenshot.
Sepiola Fail instead of Sepiola Warning.
To retrace this behaviour, try to backup a file as a normal user with in the unprivileged group users under Linux with the following permissions:
-rwx------ 1 root root 0 2010-07-06 17:27 test.txt*
It is correct, that the file could not be read. According to the functional specification, this should create a warning with the involved file, not an total failure of the backup. On the Overview Screen we should also see a Warning and not a Failure.
Fixed in 1.9.5.
