The original version of MiyoLinux is based on Devuan GNU/Linux 4 (Chimaera) and uses the JWM window manager, it is still supported until the end of 2024 and the original ISO can be downloaded from here.

Starting from my personal respin of MX23.2-CLI, I have created a respin of MX-23.2 with LxQt as Desktop Environment and Openbox as Window Manager as a lighter alternative, with Tint2 as panel, JGmenu and Compton as composer, adding some programs to complete all the possible uses.

Senpai Respin de Linux Mint LMDE 6 con sólo el Escritorio Mate (Actualizado)

Esto es un Respin personal con la versión final de Linux Mint LMDE 6 en sus variantes de 32 y 64 bits, pero con la opción de Mate instalada pues considero que es una pena que el gran Mate que tiene Mint no esté en la opción derivada de Debian, está actualizada a 17/01/2024 con la nueva versión de los repos de Mint 21.3 y el kernel 6.1.0-17, en sus versiones de 32 y 64 bits.
Por desgracia la gran herramienta para hacer Respin de MX-Linux “MX-Snapshot” y su versión de Antix “iso-Snapshot” no funciona en otras distribuciones...
Al final he encontrado Penguins' eggs, una magnífica opción para crear nuestros propios respin, que incluye el instalador Calamares para hacer una instalación facilísima de las ISOs que se crean y tiene versión para 32 bits.
La imagen ISO está probada en USBs y funciona con Ventoy, el Grabador de imágenes USBs de Mint, el de MX-Linux "modo dd", con BalenaEcher, en otros programas no está probado pero puede funcionar.
Tiene el usuario “demo” y la contraseña “demo”, cuando lo instalamos Calamares ya nos ofrece crear otro usuario, localización, idioma, etc, como en cualquier otra instalación.
Para crear este Respin he utilizado la ISO original de Linux Mint LMDE 6 con Cinnamon descargada de aquí.
¡Si quieres crear por ti mismo la opción de LMDE con solo Mate en los pasos siguientes indico como lo hice yo!
Una vez instalada la versión con Cinnamon, instalamos nuestro idioma completo, y podemos instalar Mate desde la tienda de Software o desde Synaptic, pero eso nos instala un Mate muy básico, si quieres instalar de una sola vez un Mate completo lo puedes hacer con este comando:

Una vez instalado todo reiniciamos y en el inicio de sesión elegimos la opción con Mate, una vez en Mate podemos desinstalar todo lo de Cinnamon y varios programas que están duplicados, ya que Mate tiene los suyos propios, con este comando:

sudo apt remove --purge cinnamon* nemo* gnome-calculator* file-roller* xed* gnome-system-monitor* xreader* pix* gnome-font-viewer* baobab cjs gir1.2-cmenu-3.0 gir1.2-cvc-1.0 gir1.2-nemo-3.0 libcinnamon-control-center1 libcinnamon-menu-3-0 libcjs0 libcjs-dbg libcscreensaver0 libcvc-dbg libcvc0 libnemo-extension1 muffin-common policykit-1-gnome nautilus-data libnautilus-extension4

Una vez finalizado podemos reiniciar y comprobar que todo funciona y configurar Mate a nuestro gusto...
Hacer limpieza de restos de Cinnamon y de los programas que desinstalamos:
Carpetas de Xviewer hay en: /usr/lib/
Carpetas de Xed hay en: /usr/lib/x8664-linux-gnu/
Carpetas de Cinnamon hay en: /usr/share/, /home/tuusuario/.cache/, /home/tuusuario/.config, /home/tuusuario/.local/state, /home/tuusuario/.local/share,
Carpetas de Nemo hay en: /usr/share/, /home/tuusuario/.config, /home/tuusuario/.local/share.
También hay un archivo llamado “Autorum Prompt” en /usr/share/app-install/desktop que es de Nemo, mirar las propiedades para diferenciarlo de otro que hay de Caja.
Respecto a los Temas de Cinnamon, yo los he dejado pues sirven para Mate al ser GTK, son bonitos y solo ocupan unos 35MB.

I have created a personal respin of the official version of MX-Linux with Xfce for raspberryPi4, Pi400 and Pi5 , but only with Fluxbox, so it can run on the RaspberryPi3 with only 1GB of ram.
The same image I have also tested it with my Raspi4 8GB and it works perfectly, I don't have a raspi 5 or other options like Orange Pi, but if the official version works on them it is very possible that this one does too, basically the only difference is the absence of Xfce..., if you try it please comment it in the MX forum.... read more

Senpai Respin Only Gnome MX 23.2 of x64-AHS:

Starting from my personal respin of MX23.2-CLI, I have created a respin of MX-AHS-23.2 with only Gnome as Desktop Environment in its 64bit version with the latest AHS Kernel 6.6.11, adding some programs to complete all possible uses.

All MX tools work very well, except the Tour , in MX-Tweak only the "others" tab is shown.

Because Gnome does not show the desktop like other DE, I have added the extension "Desktop Icons NG (DING)" that shows the icons on the desktop, but the icon to install MX needs to be given permission to run with "right click -> Allow to launch", as always you can also install it from the "Welcome to MX" panel, or from the terminal with the command sudo minstall.
I have also added three other extensions, "Dash to Dock" with the dock on the left side of the screen, "Ubuntu AppIndicators" to have a "Basic System Tray" and "Applications Menu" with a simple applications menu.... read more

Starting from my personal respin of MX23.2-CLI, I have created a respin of MX23.2-Lxde/Openbox in version of 32 and 64 bits, with all the tools of MX and some basic programs, as in all the unofficial respin, all the tools of MX work except the Tour, in MX-Tweak only leaves the tab "others".

As a window manager it has Openbox which can be accessed as a second option in addition to Lxde, with LightDM as a graphical session manager.
It is a MX system without removing any service or startup program by default and with a loaded Conky, of course if you need less ram consumption can be lightened, removing from the system startup some programs and with the Service Manager tool we can stop the automatic startup or disable the startup of some of the services that we do not use, such as samba, bluetooth, cups (printers), etc ....... read more

MX23.2-CLI for the creation of Respins

I have updated my personal respin "CLI" from the base MX23.2 Fluxbox, to have a common base to test has make other respin from different Desktop (DE) or Window Manager (WM), without leftovers from other systems.
I have removed the Fluxbox programs, leaving the MX tools and some common programs, I have left LightDM as startup manager and all the rest...
I have installed these 3 programs to be able to make the installations of different DE or WM from a CLI environment:
