Installation of seeddms-quickstart-4.3.8

Hi,
I'm very new bite for this king of software, and I need help to install seeddms.
This are steps that I follow for the installation of seeddms quickstart:
1 Install wampserver2.5-Apache-2.4.9-Mysql-5.6.17-php5.5.12-32b on a Windows 7 Professional 32bit machine in c:\wamp
2 Unizip the file seeddms-quickstart-4.3.8.tar.gz in c:\wamp\www\ directory. After that my new directory structure is:
C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x
C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\cache
C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\data
C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\pear
C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\seeddms-4.3.8
and a C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\www link that point to C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\seeddms-4.3.8\
3 Edit file C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\seeddms-4.3.8\conf\settings.xml and change these lines like that:

server rootDir="C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\www\" httpRoot="\seeddms43x\" contentDir="C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\data\" stagingDir="C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\data\staging\" luceneDir="C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\data\lucene/" logFileEnable="true" logFileRotation="d" enableLargeFileUpload="true" partitionSize="2000000" cacheDir="C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\cache\" dropFolderDir=""

database dbDriver="sqlite" dbHostname="localhost" dbDatabase="C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\data\content.db" dbUser="seeddms" dbPass="seeddms"

server coreDir="" luceneClassDir="" contentOffsetDir="1048576" maxDirID="0" updateNotifyTime="86400" extraPath="C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\pear\" maxExecutionTime="30"

4 Stop and restart all services
5 Try to open http://localhost/seeddms43x/www/index.php, but the system tell me:

Not Found
The requested URL /seeddms43x/out/out.Login.php was not found on this server.
Apache/2.4.9 (Win32) PHP/5.5.12 Server at localhost Port 80

What I'm wrong?
Any help would be appreciated, and sorry for my bad english.

According to the url you have entered in your web browser, your httpRoot must be /seeddms43x/www. If your configured httpRoot is right, then point your browser towards http://localhost/seeddms43x/index.php

Try like you suggest, but without success.
So I decide to modify directory structure.

1 Move all files in C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\seeddms-4.3.8 folder to C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x
2 Modify setting's file C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\conf\settings.xml like that:
rootDir = "C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\"
httpRoot = "\seeddms43x\"
contentDir = "C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\data\"
stagingDir= "C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\staging\"
luceneDir = "C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\lucene\"
cacheDir = "C:\wamp\www\seeddms43x\cache\"
dropFolderDir = ""
3 Stop and restart all services
4 Open http://localhost/seeddms43x/index.php

Now login's page appear. :)

Try to login with usename: "admin" and password "admin" but nothing happens.
If I try with wrong password the system tell me:
"Error! Error signing in. User ID or password incorrect."
Otherwise, if I try with correct password nothing happens.......

Do you have any idea?
What I'm wrong?

I downloaded the latest version .But seems its not a full download.On extrct I got

1. Core (Folder)
2. tests (Folder)
3. Core.php

Is this the total files. I am a first time user

You does not seem to have a valid configuration. Run the install tool first.

For installation of SeedDMS, you must create the file conf/ENABLE_INSTALL_TOOL

i have problem in installation of seeddms in xampp server in win 7 ????

Bevore going to install seeddms-5.1.7 on a PC, I tried it on VirtualBox, Ubuntu 18.04 server. During installation no problems, but after starting install.php I got the message:

PHP extension : php_'see current value' : Not found
=> Current value : pdo__DBC_DBTYPE_
=> Activate PHP extension

What to do? Which php extension? And which current value? Please help me to get the program running!

@Geza Hidasi On windows xampp, i had to enable PDO SQL LITE3 extension even if i use mysql.

@Umberto Bazzoni have you create the database? (I dont know how work sql lite)

Hi,

I've got the same problem as Umberto Bazzoni. I used the quickstart v 6.0.7 tar.gz file

Login window appears:
wrong login --> error message
correct login --> login page is reloading / nothing happens

What do?

Better stay with 5.1.x for now. There are still various issues in 6.0.7

Thats strange, but the 5.1.x is working with the same server configuration instead of the 6.0.7 - thanks!
