The client I am creating a document repository for has requested that I modify the look/feel of the system.
They would like for me to remove the user attribution from the documents and folder information, put a search box under the left folder tree, or even just replace the folder tree with the search box, and remove the status and action columns. Is this all difficult to do?
Also, is it possible to disable the thumbnails and instead show a file type icon? (So like the adobe logo for a pdf document)

Disabling the preview is simply. Just do not specify any converters for the preview images in the settings.
The customization of the look and feel is partly possible by extensions if you use 5.0.x. Adding a search box or replacing the folder tree requires modification to the source.
