Hello all,=20 I've had a this trouble for a while, so I thought that I'd finally do = something about it. I run BASE 1.2.2 on an OpenBSD 3.7 box with the = following versions of Apache and MySql: ceidem@clarke /home/ceidem$ httpd -V Server version: Apache/1.3.29 (Unix) Server built: unknown Server's Module Magic Number: 19990320:15 Server compiled with.... ceidem@clarke /home/ceidem$ mysql -V mysql Ver 12.22 Distrib 4.0.23, for unknown-openbsd3.7 (i386) (more information on request) The basic problem is that I have four remote sensors sending data to = this box (clarke) and after about three weeks the number of records = becomes so large that BASE (or MySql or Apache or PHP) can't do queries = without giving my browser a connect: close. I get something over a = million records and I can't query or delete without going into MySql = directly. My question is, where should I start troubleshooting this? Has anyone = seen this? I'm no Apache or PHP wizard and I don't know much about = MySql (though I'm learning quickly :) ) so I'm not sure where to begin = looking. How does one troubleshoot BASE? Do I need to tune MySql? = Tweak PHP? Reconfigure my httpd? I'm not really looking for someone to diagnose the problem, I just need = a point in the right direction. Though if someone does know offhand, I = wouldn't turn 'em away... Thanks in advance, - chris |
