James McKee and I would like to start a Go
project. Others are welcome to participate.
Based on a conversation with James, the initial
scope will be to just to build a simple program
that allows two human players to play against
each other on the computer. So a simulator for
the board.
After this first cut we might explore creating
a computer-based Go player.
James mentioned the existence of a 1.5 million
dollar prize. We'll split the money between the
pairs that work on this :-)

I'm especially excited about the idea of writing a computer player. I'm a very poor Go player, but the idea of encoding even my simple understanding of Go into some form of rules seems crazy!
For those of you who don't know Go, it isn't like Chess, or checkers, or othello where looking ahead several moves is somewhat easy. In Go, there are around 300 possible moves for each of the first 50 moves! Any exhaustive method is doomed.
So anyway, keep me in mind if you are short a person, and maybe I'll be free to swap in for a session.

Hi, please I am doing my final year project titled: "Investigating the quality of design in software development via pair programming" as a postgraduate student of Software Engineering and I am using this project titled: "Seattle Extreme Programming" as the case study for my investigation.
So I would appreciate it if I can get in contact with the developers that can give some answers to my humble questions, based on their previous experience using pair programming to develop a quality software.
This would help me to attain my desired goals as far as this final year project is concern for my postgraduate course.
