Which platform/operating-system are you planning to port?
I think the first step is you knowing how to compile C programs (i'm
not skilled about it...), and getting assured SDL libraries exists
there.
If you're talking about Linux platforms, Miriam Ruiz submitted
recently the sdlBasic sources to the Debian repository, and soon
hopefully will be available on all platforms Debian supports (i think
they are around ten platforms or more...)
