Thanks for your response. I've read that SDL4pascal is easier to instlall using freepascal, and so far, it was easy. But the docs for Jedi-pascal are huge. How complete is SDL4pascal... SDL_mixer? SDL_Image? SDL_Network? They are both translations of the SDL headers, and they interface to the same libs, so it shouldn't be any problem on using either or both. There are little diferences with each other, but they're not to worry about. What are the pros and cons of using SDL4Pascal vs. Jedi-SDL? Please assume the following: Primary pascal compiler = Free Pascal Primary Development Env = Linux (Debian and Slackware) Secondary = Win2k/XP Intended use = Commercial and GPL cross-platform games Ron_W __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Note: The SDL_error is not a full translation, since it caused me a lot of trouble and i comented out some things, however, the esential stuff is there. Also note: I included the app, but i'm new to SDL programing, so, it might not be very good. > > >>Saludos. >> >> >Gracias, > > Daniel > Es un placer. > > -- Elio Cuevas G?mez. For example, what in SDL is called SDL_QUIT event, in SDL4FP is called SDL_EVENTQUIT, because there is already a SDL_Quit procedure. cheers, Daniel -- porque no respeta el orden natural en el que se leen las cosas >¿por qué top-posting es tan molesto? >>top-posting >>>¿cuál es la peor molestia en los emails de respuesta? |

Hi all, Firstly can somebody please tell me how to do this in sdl4fp -what is the sdl4fp name for event.type ? while ( SDL_PollEvent(&event) ) { if ( event.type == SDL_QUIT ) { done = 1; } if ( event.type == SDL_KEYDOWN ) { if ( event.key.keysym.sym == SDLK_ESCAPE ) { done = 1; } } } Ciao A.J. -- "The computer can't tell you the emotional story. I think sdl_image is the greatest need esp. since sdl_mixer is already available as well. Thereafter sdl_smpeg probably, but those are just my feelings :-) Ciao A.J. -- "The computer can't tell you the emotional story. I'm a new member too! I have translated SDL_error and also i created a Makefile.fpc that works more or less fine. I'm also working in a little app that could work as a demo. If interested please tell me. Saludos. -- Elio Cuevas G?mez. SinergiaK.com MSN: el...@si... Y! Messenger: elcugo |

There's none to my knowledge, I will include it some time in the future. I don't have too much time for working on the library now (but I plan a new release in october/november), so asking what you want to be done is a good way of helping me choose what the priorities are. And jumping right in I have a translation of the BFont header files to freepascal, if anyone is interested. Does anyone perhaps know where I can find a header translation for sdl_image that works with fpc ? Ciao A.J. -- "The computer can't tell you the emotional story.
