The -fdollars-in-identifiers is missing on the ppc machine for building s51. It's included in the build-makefiles, but I've no clue why it goes wrong today. These files have not been changed since ages. I've no experience on usf-cf-ppc-linux-1. On usf-cf-x86-linux-1 I simply use sdcc-build-bootstrap.sh, but on usf-cf-ppc-linux-1 cvs fails. Why? Is this the explanation, why the build of s51 fails? Miiiiiiiichaaaeeeeeeeeeeel! Please help!
