I am really interested in the PIC port of SDCC, but it does not currently support the chip(s) I need (PIC16C745 and if it's easy 16C71). What is involved in adding a new chip to the port? I know C and if you can tell me what is needed to add the chip I will be happy to do it and send you a patch. Also, has anyone used the USB abilities of the 16C745/16C765? I want to build a USB device and I don't want to have to reinvent the wheel. I have the USB lib that MicroChip provides, but the C version won't compile on SDCC (it uses structures) and the ASM version won't assemble in GPASM. Any hints would be nice. I'd be willing to use a different type of microcontroller (from a different company) if it wasn't to much more expensive than the PICs and had USB capabilities. Thanks in advance. -Arthur -- |
