There is value in getting the release out the door as well. 0) fixes something in a port that didn't exist for 4.4.0. 1) fixes issues in regression tests introduced after 4.4.0. 2) fixes an issue that was already present in 4.4.0. 3) fixes a real regression vs. 4.4.0 (a bug in an optimization introduced after SDCC 4.4.0, i.e. the code generated by SDCC 4.4.0 was less optimized, but correct).
