sdcc supports __DATE__ and __TIME__ great. i like that, i need that. now is the length of both constants always __DATE__ 53 65 70 20 32 31 20 32 30 30 30 .ascii "Sep 21 2000" = 11 Bytes __TIME__ 31 34 3A 33 36 3A 30 30 .ascii "14:36:00" = 8 Bytes forget the 0x00 at the end of both strings. i want to be able to send a version string with just the commands puts( __DATE__); puts( __TIME__); but i need to be shure that the length is always the same. In the above example 19 Bytes. Michael |
