if you run windows it sounds like a path problem. from a command prompt run set and look if you have added the bin folder to the path statement. This can be done in your autoexec.bat like PATH C:\USR\LOCAL\BIN; during the compilation of sdcc itself, the default root path for sdcc is /usr/local. so the bin folder needs to be located at c:\usr\local\bin and this is also the settings for all includes like c:\usr\local\share\.... so the file sdcc.exe needs to be installed as c:\usr\local\bin\sdcc.exe i have postings here that users have different settings, but this one works perfect for me. if it does not help, mail again.
