I am using ATMEL 8051 architecture chips. Here is what is happening with me - I have a AT89c2051 chip from Atmel which is a 8051 architecture chip. OKey i run and burn a program in SDCC C and its working absolutely fine. No problem - Now i change my chip to AT89c51(4KB Flash) and then AT89c52 (8KB Flash) chips from Atmel. Now the problme starts. i build and compile and burn a program in SDCC, try to run it on it... program does not work. THen i build a program in a Assembler (that comes with my programmer hardware) i burn it and run it, it works. So the situation is that program writted in SDCC does not work on atmel AT89c51 and 52 chips. but program writted in Assembly is working fine. Please give me suggestions on this as soon as possible as i need to use SDCC and also program AT89c52 and later AT87LV55 chips. Its very importand. actually i am handling my first hardware project. Since you did not attach the code for either one, I can only speculate. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2003-05-06 10:56 Message: Logged In: NO The at89c2051 and the at89c51 are softwarecompatible. Try to find the problem in the programmer or the translater of your hexfile. Compare the content of the hextobin -output to the romcontent. g....@gm... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100599&aid=733119&group_id=599 |
