    This appears to have been added to the development version of ScummVM some months ago, in response to https://sourceforge.net/p/scummvm/bugs/6428/

    To verify, I tried with the current German GOG version of the game, and it worked for me. (Well, it was detected and it started. I don't speak German anywhere near well enough to actually play the game that way!) I guess no one noticed that it had also been reported here.
