- ScummVM version: 1.2.0
- Game "The Black Cauldron (2.00 1987-06-14/DOS/English)" - AGI
- Platform Symbian OS (Nokia N95 8Gb) Sw. V30.0.018 23-07-08 RM-320
- The bug is Misaligned message box, the text goes over windows and dirty screen
- to reproduce: start the game, press F8 key (look)
NOTE: in previous version the game works fine.
the same happens with other AGI games, for example SQ1, SQ2
Raising priority. This is a release-critical bug.
Does it only happen on Symbian, or does it happen with the desktop version (Windows, Mac, Linux, ...) of ScummVM as well? I'm wondering because either I can't reproduce it on my Linux box, or I'm not understanding what the bug looks like.

I try it only on Symbian. Asap I try to take a photo of the game on my phone and attach it to a comment, if possible, to show the bug.
Attach a photo
How can I attach a photo?
(Sorry about the late reply. I'm in the middle of moving.)
Since you filed the bug report, I imagine you should be able to click on "Attached File" (near the bottom of the page) and then "Add a file" to attach a file.
Note the word "falling"
Ok, now I attached a screenshot. The file is "bug.jpg".
I can't reproduce this in Linux either. Looking at the code and the screenshot, it's not so clear to me what could cause this.
In the previous versione all works fine, perhaps a diff on code can help you. Can anyone debug on the phone?
I already had a quick look at AGI commits between 1.1.0 and 1.2.0, but while a few commits touch the text rendering in a minor way, none of them seem likely to cause this side effect.
Should you (or anyone) want to debug this on the phone, the function to start with is probably printText2 in engines/agi/text.cpp .
What is the status of this item?
More specifically, I can't reproduce it either... have you tried a newer version of ScummVM?
