Situation: after killing first boar with the spear, second one shows up and prepares to charge
Bug: game freezes, music keeps playing
Savegame attached: to reproduce bug, kill first boar (press spacebar just before the boar reaches the horse) and wait for second boar to enter.

my guess the bug is because your mule comes along with you and doesn't run away in the screen before (hunter). Actually he does but the message doesn't appear "your mule has bolted" (or something like that) and he reappears in the boar screen.
Need more information on this one. How did the situation occur in that savegame? From what merkur-kun says, it's because of an actor (the mule) that didn't disappear as it should have in the previous scene? Does that still occur? Can this also occur in the original game (i.e. is it a script bug)?
Yes, the problem was indeed that the mule was there when it shouldn't. However I just replayed the game up to that point and was now unable to get the mule to follow me into the boars' screen. So even though if you restore this savegame the situation still manifests, it seems that whatever led to this problem is now un-reproducible. Might be good to see if merkur-kun can confirm this, but the bug might be gone.
