I have a number of patches to SCST and qla2xxx that I would like to submit. These patches have been well-tested at my employer. They are categorized as follows: - 5 patches that can be applied directly to SCST immediately. - 15 patches that can be applied to qla2xxx in the upstream kernel and then backported into SCST. - 5 more patches that can be applied to SCST when backporting the qla2xxx patches from the upstream kernel. Today I am just going to submit the initial batch of 5 patches that can be applied to SCST immediately. Later when submitting the qla2xxx patches to the upstream kernel, my plan is to send both the kernel patches and the SCST patches to both the kernel mailing lists and the SCST mailing list, since the SCST patches depend on the qla2xxx kernel patches and provide more context for the kernel developers to accept the qla2xxx changes. Alternately, I could send the kernel patches to the kernel mailing list and the SCST patches to the SCST mailing list. Does anyone have a preference? Tony Battersby https://www.cybernetics.com/ |
