Another step forward.. My QLA2562 connects to a Brocade 300 SAN switch with fabric licenses. The QLogic adapter shows up under the /sys/kernel/scst_tgt/targets/qla20xxt tree with its two wwn's as expected. I created three scst_user devices and assigned these to three separate NPIV vports, using one of the qlogic parent ports and that worked well. Now I have 5 wwn's listed in the qla2x00t directory tree. I can enable them just fine. Question; I'd like to auto-spread vports across all available physical ports. How can I tell physical ports and vports apart once they are created? Is there any readable flag in this tree that will indicate if I'm dealing with a physical port entry or a vport? Best I could find is the 'wwn'/host symbolic link which contains ' vport' in the pathname, but I'd prefer a more elegant way? Thanks, Rob |
