So they will all be headings referring to types of programs or applications or documents. >=20 > #: cl/templates/scrollkeeper_cl.xml.in.h:28 > msgid "Calculating" >=20 > As in "I'm calculating, please wait", or some other sense? This is a sub-heading under the "Utilities" heading. So it can be viewed as the adjectival part of the phrase "Calculating utilities". Does this help with the translation (I have no knowledge of Norweigian, so I am unaware of what problems you are going to have with gender modifiers, etc). > #: cl/templates/scrollkeeper_cl.xml.in.h:31 > msgid "Capture" >=20 > Capture what? Mind twister? Probably more like the former. Used to describe a type of game, rather than as a verb. So we have arcade games, role-playing games, puzzles, ... >=20 > #: cl/templates/scrollkeeper_cl.xml.in.h:134 > msgid "RAD" >=20 > Research And Development? This is a somewhat colloquial term for descriptive papers, often in a sort of marketing area, although not exclusively so. Somebody might write a white paper describing the features and benefits of using product X. In this case, the "white papers" heading is under "development", so we are talking about articles that might describe the benefits of using CORBA or KParts or C++ or whatever. Not a tutorial or a user guide, just a general discussion around the features, benefits, drawbacks, etc. It is a fairly common business term in English, but I have no idea how it translates into any other language. Based on your confusion, I suspect a literal translation does not work for Nynorsk. If I can clarify any of this further, please let me know and I will try to accomodate. Cheers, Malcolm |
