I would like to upgrade the automake requirement for scrollkeeper to Automake 1.6. This will make some of the build issues a bit easier to manage and keeps us vaguely in tune with the automake distributions. This will only affect people building from the CVS sources and will require the builder in those cases to have Automake 1.6.x (for any 'x') or Automake 1.7 on their system. These days, most distributions are shipping one of these versions (and they are parallel installable with Automake 1.4, so it's not an "either/or" situation). Does anybody have a good reason *not* to do this? I will leave this alone until Wednesday or so to give people time to think about it. Cheers, Malcolm |
