SCLJ 3.0 is now uploaded. Now featuring music autodetection, thanks to frew. Be sure to read Documentation/changes-3.0 if you're upgrading from 2.x.
First off, as the headline says, beta 2 is released. It's available in gz and bz2 forms from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82246
There is also a patch there to fix a bit of Perl 5.8 syntax in scljed, because I rushed the release a little and didn't test on 5.6.1 until later. I haven't had 5.6.0 or 5.005 for a long while, so I especially need feedback from people with those versions, even if it's "works for me". Other bug reports are also welcomed.
2.7 fixes a minor bug in custom security that artificially limited the number of friend groups to 14 instead of 30. The Makefile was modified to use the new CVS-friendly filenames in the tarball, yet behave like the old 2.x Makefiles.
3.0-BETA1 is, of course, the future of sclj. It features some new commands to support multiple accounts and storing posts on disk; autocompletion of moods, journals, friend group names, and picture keywords; caching of account information; and the capability for commands to take arguments.
The 2.6.1 release, already available as a download, is now in CVS under the tag "PUBLIC_2_6_1". HEAD points to the current 3.0 alpha release, and should from this point on be at least compilable. Initial Web content and the 2.6.1 tarball were uploaded previously.
