No

using recent releases (I am on 5.2.2, but this started happening a few releases ago), it is not possible to replace text any more when using "strip" mode.

The textline control used to enter the replacement text does show up disabled - and sometimes it does not show at all.

When switching from strip mode to dialog mode, the same control seems to work fine.

See the attached screenshots for details.

This is using wscite on win 10 64bit.

I can't reproduce this. You appear to have set the system scale factor (Settings | System | Display | Scale and Layout) to a large number. Can you please report what this setting is on your system?

    It is set to 250%.

Note that I do have 2 monitors in use, with very different DPI
