#2249 Shebang not working in SciTE 5.0.1

I just noticed the other day that syntax highlighting via the unix shebang is no longer working. I am running SciTE 5.0.1 compiled for GTK 3.24.28 on Arch Linux. I even changed the shebang line from "#!/usr/bin/env bash" to "#!/usr/bin/env python" with no luck.
