Hello all. I have installed scim 1.4.7, skim 1.4.5, scim-modules-table 0.5.7 on Kubuntu Gutsy where I am using KDE as my default environment and I don't want to leave KDE for GNOME for just typing in an Indic script. Right clicking on the tray icon of SKIM and clicking Configure I get the configure window where I ensure that panel program is set to scim-panel-kde and config module is kconfig. Under IMEngines > Global Setup I see all the names of the tables that are installed, including one I wrote myself yesterday. But I don't know how to actually activate the keyboard. On GNOME, I have seen my father pressing Ctrl+Space and the keyboard getting activated, but he doesn't have KDE experience and I don't see the names of the available keyboards when I left-click the tray icon. Please please help me get SKIM working properly on KDE. Thanks. Shriramana Sharma. |
