Error - cannot open .sci file

My son has created a db of his games and suddenly it cannot be open. It says the following:

Hi Miroslav,

sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately my hardware is broken, and it may take a while until I can work on this problem. hopefully this month. I'm sure that I can fix this database problem, please be a bit patient.
