Hi, few days ago I wanted to send a paper to a congress. This congress asks for the figures in 300 dpi and with a specific width. Scidavis doesn't have these features for exporting with transparencies included like png. I had to use the last version of qtiplot which include these features. So, I guess these type of features are useful for implementing in scidavis. Maybe is easy to use part of the code of qtiplot.
Thanks a lot Mauricio

The conference should not be asking for plots done at a give bpi, but should ask for vector graphics, which are scalable and resolution independent. SciDAVis already supports industry standard vector graphics formats: eps, pdf and svg. For example, LaTeX handles eps figure import with ease. If your document processing tools cannot handle any of these standard formats, but only with pixmaps, then you will need to get comfortable with a tool that renders one of these. For example, the excellent open source tool Inkscape will render SVG to a pixmap format.

Come on, its not like its 1985 any more.
