After every start SCID crashes immediately. To solve the problem it only helps to delete the options.dat file, which is very annoying, because I have to set all my settinges(configurations again.
How does it occur?
- I click somehow on File menu on the left upper corner??
- then the chess board becomes a separate floating window
- I try to get the board back to the main SCID application, but without success
- then I close SCID and try to restart it again, but now it crashes always...
I've attached the options.dat file for investigations. I run SCID on Win 10 64 bit with the latest updates.
Did you identify the root cause in your
options.dat? Or are you using a workaround?root cause is line #362 "set ::docking::layout_list(auto) ..."
Delete this line and scid will start.
This line has wrong parameters because of 1. + 2.. Something goes wrong with the windows management and this was saved in options.dat.
