#161 MacOS - Unable to change database icon

I recently built a new version of SCID for MacOS based on the latest code in the repository.

Note: To build SCID, I mostly followed the instructions here: https://sourceforge.net/p/scid/wiki/MacOSCatalina/ but had to make a few minor tweaks. If I can help update that page, let me know. This includes using Tcl/Tk 8.6.

I can get the app to load and it seems to mostly be working well. However, I created a new database and I cannot change the icon.

Here are the steps I took:

1. Launch SCID
2. File > New... and create the database
3. Go to the game list and show the list of databases
4. Right click and Choose Database Icon...
5. In the window that pops up I can not select any icons. I also cannot scroll or click the OK or Cancel button. However, I can close the window using the "red dot" close window button in the upper left corner.

I was able to change the icon using these steps:

1. Launch SCID
2. Database > Maintenance > Maintenance Window...
3. Click on the icon
4. Successfully select an icon and Save

This seems similar to a recent bug report:

Can you please try if the executable created by the Azure server works?

Also please note that the script file used to automatically compile that version:

is a good source of information on how to compile on macOS.

Works fine in SCID 4.8.0, tcl/tk 8.6.12, on macos 12
