Category: C Client (wbemcli) Group: Function Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Tyrel Datwyler (tyreld) >Assigned to: Tyrel Datwyler (tyreld) Summary: wbemcli: gcd doesn't report error when class not found Initial Comment: When getting a class definition wbemcli doesn't understand the response if the requested class isn't found. Looking at the xml it is clear the server gives the correct response, but wbemcli doesn't deliver that response to the user. It instead gives an error of "* what happened?" which is deceiving. susie:/home/tyreld/work/cmpi-base/build # wbemcli gcd -nl -dx http://localhost/root/cimv2:cim_myclass To server: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <CIM CIMVERSION="2.0" DTDVERSION="2.0"> <MESSAGE ID="4711" PROTOCOLVERSION="1.0"><SIMPLEREQ><IMETHODCALL NAME="GetClass"> <LOCALNAMESPACEPATH> <NAMESPACE NAME="root"/> <NAMESPACE NAME="cimv2"/> </LOCALNAMESPACEPATH> <IPARAMVALUE NAME="ClassName"><CLASSNAME NAME="cim_myclass"/></IPARAMVALUE> <IPARAMVALUE NAME="LocalOnly"><VALUE>FALSE</VALUE></IPARAMVALUE> <IPARAMVALUE NAME="IncludeQualifiers"><VALUE>FALSE</VALUE></IPARAMVALUE> <IPARAMVALUE NAME="IncludeClassOrigin"><VALUE>FALSE</VALUE></IPARAMVALUE> </IMETHODCALL></SIMPLEREQ> </MESSAGE></CIM> >From server: Content-Type: application/xml; charset="utf-8" >From server: Content-Length: 289 >From server: Cache-Control: no-cache >From server: CIMOperation: MethodResponse >From server: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <CIM CIMVERSION="2.0" DTDVERSION="2.0"> <MESSAGE ID="4711" PROTOCOLVERSION="1.0"> <SIMPLERSP> <IMETHODRESPONSE NAME="GetClass"> <ERROR CODE="6" DESCRIPTION="The requested object could not be found"/> </IMETHODRESPONSE> </SIMPLERSP> </MESSAGE> </CIM> * * what happened? * ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=712784&aid=1728703&group_id=128809 |
