Category: Provider Group: Function >Status: Pending >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Submitted By: Tyrel Datwyler (tyreld) Assigned to: Viktor Mihajlovski (mihajlov) Summary: non-terminating loop in cmpi-base trace facility. Initial Comment: When SBLIM_TRACE is set to a value of 4 or higher the tracing code will enter a non-terminating loop upon entry to a provider. The problem is that the _osbase_trace function calls get_os_timezone. The get_os_timezone function in turns makes a level 4 trace call. Hence, the code enters an indefinite loop. Either the trace message needs to be removed from the get_os_timezone function or a seperate timezone function for tracing is needed. Seeing as how simple the get_os_timezone function is I see no reason why the trace message shouldn't just be removed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Viktor Mihajlovski (mihajlov) Date: 2005-11-30 16:18 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1198711 Obviously the timezone fix was not considering the trace. As suggested, I've removed the trace call from get_os_timezone. Fix is in CVS and for the records I've attached the patch for this bug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=712784&aid=1368636&group_id=128809 |
