Category: sfcb Group: Stability >Status: Pending >Resolution: Invalid Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: John Powell (jpowell_vmw) >Assigned to: Chris Buccella (buccella) Summary: Fix sfcbd crash while running xml stress Initial Comment: Under stress test, CIMOM is so busy that it will not response to all requests. Core file dumped in two cases under stress: One case: function getSLPData is called periodically. It trys to get instances of root/interop/CIM_Namespace, and initialize pointer rs.Namespace only if it gets instances. But it uses rs.Namespace later without judgment. The instances are returned and the pointer is initialized in normal. But under stress, no response to the "get instances" request and the pointer is not initialized, the process accesses a 0X0 address later and crash happens. Fixed it by add an if-statement. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Chris Buccella (buccella) Date: 2011-01-31 16:41 Message: Similar to 2979038, I can't find the code which the attached patch is referencing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=712784&aid=2979012&group_id=128809 |
