[Sbcl-devel] Adding editor feature into SBCL prompt

How about adding ability to use arrow keys to move back and forth on
input line instead of getting ^[[D for left and ^[[C for right?
If I'd implement that, what are the chances of getting the patch accepted?
Are there some serious technical reasons why it isn't done already
after almost 20 years in development?
