Hi, This my first post to this list and I guess it's a good thing to show up with a diff, albeit a very small one. It corrects the misstatement about OpenBSD not supporting hppa and fixes the (most) current release files for x86-linux and sparc-solaris. I've got a few questions:=20 1.) What is the diff format preferred by developers here? I could not find it documented anywhere, so I just guessed and used unified format "diff -u" 2.) Where would one find the current work on the x86/MS-Windows port? I looked somewhat quickly through the current cvs and found no signs of the x86/Win32 porting efforts, so I guess it's hiding in someones' personal source tree. Are there any notes? 3.) Has anyone looked at OpenBSD/x86 recently? I'm wondering if the new v3.8 release with modifications to malloc (using the mmap(2) system call and introducing unpredictable allocation addresses and guard pages) is going to wreak havoc with SBCL? -I vaguely remember reading about some similar OpenBSD/CMUCL issues. 4.) Since I'll be going through the source tree, should I keep track of files that are missing copyright/license statements? 5.) Why is SBCL marked as "4 Beta" on sourceforge? Or better said, what will it take to get to 1.0? Thanks, JCR |
