Hello developers, SBCL 0.9 fails to build on my (DEbian) GunLinux/PPC box. The compile seems to proceed fine but the test run stops with the following error: debugger invoked on a SIMPLE-ERROR in thread 9748: The assertion (RAISES-ERROR? (SCALE-FLOAT 1.0 MOST-POSITIVE-FIXNUM) FLOATING-POINT-OVERFLOW) failed. Looking at the source of this test (tests/float.pure.lisp) is seems as if this is a known problem: #-(or darwin x86-64) ;; bug 372 / 378 (progn (assert (raises-error? (scale-float 1.0 most-positive-fixnum) floating-point-overflow)) (assert (raises-error? (scale-float 1.0d0 (1+ most-positive-fixnum)) floating-point-overflow))) Might it be possible that the feature test should read: #-(or ppc darwin x86-64) Adding this makes _this_ test pass ... more later.
